Jack Rodney Burrill, 79, of Hilo died Nov. 9 at Legacy Hilo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Ferndale, Mich., he was a retired licensed practical nurse, member of 12 Coconuts and U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran. Graveside urn committal service noon Wednesday (Nov. 29) at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. No flowers. Memorial contributions to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Survived by wife, Sandra Burrill of Hilo; children, Derek (Helena) Ogle of Honolulu, Trisha Ogle of Hilo and Sherie (Peter) Schuttie of California; three grandchildren. Kimberly Paul Caporoz, 58, of Hilo died Nov. 16 at Legacy Hilo Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born in Waianae, Oahu, he was a maintenance worker for E.K. Fernandez Carnivals and meat cutter for Kahua Ranch. Survived by daughters, Shaila Baker of Ogden, Utah, and Sierra Caporoz-Hammond of Kailua-Kona; father, Barney Caporoz of Waianae; maternal grandmother, Rose Domen Villanueva of Honolulu; five grandchildren. Donald “Oota” Carvalho, 81, of Hilo died Oct. 29 at home. Born in Hilo, he was retired from the former Kaneko Jelly Factory, a Catholic and member of senior league baseball, Hawaii Police Golf Club and Hawaiian Golf Club. Visitation from 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 29) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Prayer service at 11 a.m. Urn committal service to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima Section. Casual attire. Jeffrey R. Harley, 68, of Mountain View died Nov. 20 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Boston, he was a retired carpenter. Memorial service at a future date. Adam Miprano, 82, of Hilo died Nov. 8 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired federal maintenance worker, former sugar plantation worker and U.S. Army veteran. Private services. Pearl Jane “Pualani” “Pearly” Rangasan, 73, of Kealakekua died Nov. 5 at home. Born in Ookala, she was a station supervisor for Easley Corp.
